Gum Benzoin Sumatra

Sumatra Benzoin Gum (Styrax Benzoin): Benzoin Sumatra is a balsamic resin, the dried exudation from the pierced bark of Styrax Benzoin Tree in Sumatra or Andalas Indonesia. As a gum from this species hardens, it becomes a pale yellowish color. Sumatra Benzoin, have a strong storax like odor, and contain cinamic acid. Special Properties & Effects of Sumatra Benzoin Gum: Because of its fragrant odor, it is used in perfume and in incense. Benzoin is well liked for its anti cataract and expectorant properties as well as its powerful skin healing effects. It also a warming oil, making it useful for painful joints and poor circulation, stimulates the production of urine (diuretic). It is used to fight leucorrhoea and yeast infection. Helps digestion, calms the digestive tract and alleviates flatulence, eases nervous tension, stress and anxiety, helps to overcome depression and restore confidence.' This is for a 9 oz. container.
